FRIDAY: Website # 1, website # 2. Set up committees (teams) for the “How Congress Works” strategy game. Explain the rules and play the first couple rounds of the game.

WEDNESDAY/THURSDAY: Read “Choosing Materials for Pedal-Powered Flight” and “The Right Material” in the Properties of Matter textbook. Answer questions from the end of each reading in notebooks. Discuss why and how certain materials are chosen when designing different products. Complete Student Sheet 10a. Introduce the Unit II Project. Begin brainstorming what product you will research for your Unit II Project.
