MONDAY: Discuss results from Inquiry 22.2 and collect Student Sheet 22.2. Introduce Lesson 23: Chemical Reactions involving Metals. Discuss how metals might differ in their properties and examine metal samples that we will be using in tomorrow’s inquiry. Read through the procedure for Inquiry 23.1: Comparing the Reactions of Different Metals with Acid.
HOMEWORK: Sign up for a presentation slot on the class moodle site to determine when you will be presenting your Unit II Project.
TUESDAY: Set up equipment and review safety procedures for woring with acids. Conduct Inquiry 23.1: Comparing the Reactions of Different Metals with Acid. Complete Student Sheet 23.1. Reflect on and discuss the results of our inquiry.
